The service
Rapitt is a monitoring platform built and operated by RapitAI, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It watches
the servers, workstations, devices, tunnels and integrations an organisation connects to it, and is
delivered to each organisation as its own workspace at an address such as
yourcompany.rapitt.ai.
Accounts
An organisation's administrators decide who may sign in to its workspace and what each person can see and do. Accounts are personal: do not share them or sign in for someone else. Every action is recorded against the account that took it, so a shared account makes the audit trail useless when it is needed most.
Your authority to monitor
You may connect to Rapitt only the servers, devices and networks your organisation owns or is authorised to monitor, and only with credentials it is entitled to use. Where the endpoint agent runs on computers people use, your organisation is responsible for telling them and for any notice or consent the law where they work requires.
What Rapitt can do to your systems
Rapitt is not read-only. People your administrators allow can start, stop and restart websites, services and database engines, free disk space, reboot servers and run saved scripts on them. These actions take effect at once on live systems and cannot be undone by Rapitt. Rapitt names what an action will affect before it runs; your organisation is responsible for the actions its people take.
Credentials you give us
Rapitt stores the credentials your organisation enters, encrypted, and uses them only to monitor and act on your systems as your workspace is configured. Anyone your administrators allow to reveal them in the workspace holds the keys to those systems; grant that permission accordingly.
Licence and capacity
Each workspace is licensed for a number of servers, workstations and devices. Reaching a limit stops you adding more until the licence is extended; it never stops monitoring what is already connected.
Availability
Readings are taken on an interval, so a screen shows the most recent successful reading, not this instant. Rapitt is a monitoring aid, not a safety-critical alarm: clinical and life-safety systems must have their own independent alerting. Except where your agreement says otherwise, the service is provided as it is, without a promise that it will always be available or free of errors.
Acceptable use
- Do not try to reach workspaces, data or areas you have not been given.
- Do not use Rapitt to probe, scan or act on systems your organisation is not authorised to monitor.
- Do not try to break, overload or get around the security of the service.
- Report anything that looks like unauthorised access to your administrators, or to [email protected], at once.
Your data
The data in your workspace belongs to your organisation. RapitAI uses it only to provide the service, as the privacy notice describes. When your organisation stops using Rapitt, ask us to export or delete it.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, and except where your agreement says otherwise, RapitAI is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service, including losses caused by an action your people take through it or by an alert that did not arrive.
Changes and contact
These terms change as the service does; the date at the top moves when they do, and continued use after a change is acceptance of it. Questions go to [email protected].
